It was one of those dark rainy days when he found her sitting on the windowsill chewing the rag...

Hopefully Buzz will cheer her up before I'm going to cry too...

Okay, I prefer doing happy pictures but this idea just had to come out from my mind. Hope you fangirls don't mind it.;)

I found quite hard to do draw them kissing, so I decided I will do some more practicing. A lot more!:D

And now, FANFIC READING TIME!!!! ----> [link]
A big thank you for :iconpoetlaurie: for writing an adorable little story to the picture!:aww:

Characters belong to Disney/Pixar
Art belongs to me.

Amazing atmosphere in this picture, as I've come to expect from you. I really like that window texture you used for the background, you can see little specs of dirt and rain on it and stuff.. that's really neat.

I think Toy Story is one of the very few movies that actually got BETTER as the movies went on. I remember when I saw Toy Story 2 Jessie at first came off pretty strong at first.. almost like your typical comedy relief character. She didn't annoy me or anything, I mean you expect wacky characters in kids movies.. or maybe it was just the way Pixar is able to make you feel uneasy and suspicious like something ominus is happening because things are just TOO happy. (XD A lot like the toys in the day-care in TS 3). Whatever the reason I remember thinking it was really cool when they really upped the emotion and actually gave this really energetic and loud character a pretty heart-breaking back story.. it's really the kind of abandonment story that you think about in BLT too.. which most people consider TS's spiritual successor.

Tangent aside, it's nice to see you taking advantage of that back story of hers and showing that even after the happy ending of the TS movies.. she's still kinda tormented over it. I could imagine it would be kind of a traumatic experience for a toy.. almost like being dis-owned by your parents or something comparison-wise. I really love the subtle expressions here, Jessie's frowning kiss and her slightly raised cheeks as she's expressing her pain.

Sorry to take it out of the seriousness, but now you've got me wondering what it must feel like.. two plastic lips kissing.. and of course they don't have spit glands so its like a totally dry kiss too.. wow.. must feel weird. <XD Well.. sure it's normal for them of course... I could imagine Buzz's lips feeling hard, but maybe Jessie's feeling kinda soft, I imagine her head being like a plastic doll's head.. you know.. where it's like a hallow plastic balloon?

Thank you for your nice comment.:)
I have to agree with you in that these movies got better, which is kinda rare thing in franchises.

Have to admit, at first I found Jessie very annoying (same with Dory in Finding Nemo) but I guess that was Pixar's goal. I've heard many Jessie fans who felt the same way at first. But when you think of her past (the abandonment, then spending about 20 or more years in a dark box) you can totally understand that crazy hyper activeness of hers. Just think of a dog that had been tied up to a chain for a long time...
Plus I don't know if you've noticed that she always gets panic attacks when it's about going back into storage.

Yeah, it's fun to watch BLT as a TS fan. Pity they couldn't make that movie a little bit more exciting.:/ At least the "worthless" part is good.;)

God! lol. You're analyzing them way too much! XD They supposed to be just symbolic characters, TS is not about biological or physical demonstrations.XD But if you are into this material stuff that much, I've got a few ideas.
When toys are "alive" their faces (and body) is working very similar to ours, as if they had all those muscles and stuff in their faces, so they can imitate human expressions. Here's a good example for you to see how well their faces are built. [link] (Just look at how Buzz is moving his non existing jaw, you can analyze how his face works when hits the screen)
So... what I'm trying to say is I can't imagine they would find each other's lips feeling hard... (Don't compare it with kissing a real car!) And I think Buzz's head supposed to be made of some kind of rubber cause it's surface reflects less light than Jessie's or Woody's (except where it has the purple painting on). So... ;P

But for now, it's enough of the over analyzing nonsense. The gesture is what it really matters. Isn't it?;)

Well that's Pixar for ya. :)

That's pretty cleaver of Pixar isn't it? Make us feel annoyed by a character and then find out all this sad stuff about the character that makes us feel like dicks for finding them annoying. XD I wonder if Pixar intentionally made her annoying to begin with..

Ahhh.. soo.. no your true feelings are revealed. /: ) You think BLT is boring eh? In what ways if I may ask....

I over-analyze stuff all the time! It's what I do! XD Ok you're right though, I didn't think about the fact that their faces move and stuff... but obviously they must 'turn' into plastic or whatever when they turn back into objects so... hmmm : /

Yes? <: D

Yes, Pixar just never fails to amaze with it's smartness. And the amusingness continues as you read their "The Art of" books.;)
Feel like dicks? lol. All they want o say with these is don't judge any person without fully knowing him. How did you feel about the Prospector when it turned out who he really is? I'm pretty sure everything was intentional. Pixar guys are REALLY smart, in my opinion.

No offense, really but I found it boring. Maybe just because I'm simply too old for it.;P But really, it's well drawn, well animated, the sountrack is good too but I think the script is just too week. Pity.:( But that's just my opinion)

Over-analyzing is all right, just make sure you do it at the right place. Like, don't analyze the ingredients of sh*t when eating a lunch with family and guests around.XD
Yes, that makes sense when toys come alive their body functions similar to ours, than everything turns back into it's original when they turn back into their inanimate toy mode.;)
